Study medicine abroad, planned around licensing at home

Medicine is a licensed profession. Before choosing a country, we check that the medical school is accepted for licensing where the student plans to work.

Licensing comes first

To practise in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, a doctor trained abroad needs the degree recognised and must pass the local licensing steps. Some authorities keep their own lists of accepted medical schools. An easier admission means little if the licence at home is not possible.

What to expect

  • Medical degrees usually take five to six years, plus internship or residency
  • Many European universities teach medicine in English, with entrance exams and limited places
  • Strong grades in biology and chemistry are expected
  • The budget covers every year of study, so we plan the full cost from the start

How we help

We shortlist medical schools that fit the licensing route at home, build the application and entrance exam timeline, and plan the visa and housing. Read how degree recognition works before you choose.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to study medicine abroad?

Usually five to six years, plus internship or residency. Plan the budget for every year from the start.

Can I study medicine in English in Europe?

Yes. Many European universities teach medicine in English, with entrance exams and limited places.

Will a medical degree from abroad count in the UAE?

It must be recognised by the ministry, and the health authority must accept it for licensing. We check the licensing route before choosing a medical school.

Is a cheaper or easier medical school a good idea?

Only if it leads to a licence where the student plans to work. An easy admission means little if licensing at home is not possible.
